Matted Pets

Late fees/cancellations

We love servicing senior pets, however, your pup must be able to stand up for at least half the groom and be able to walk. When it comes to our older companions we may only be able to complete comfort grooms. Comfort grooms are meant to keep your pet comfortable and this often entails haircuts that are not perfect and parts we may not be able to complete as we prioritize your pets health.

Furthermore, if your pet has significant health issues or is too old to stand we highly recommend a vet groomer or an in-house call groomer.

Matted pets will be subjected to matting fees between $30-$80. This is due to the extra time as well as the damage to our equipment. Matting if wet will get tighter making it more painful for the pet and harder for the groomer to get out. We often have to pre-shave when dogs are matted and cutting unclean hair significantly damages our equipment. This cost covers the extra time it will take as well as partial cost to tune up equipment.

The risk of grooming matted pets are raised as matting can lead to hematomas, nicks on the skins, and bruising. By booking your matted pets with us to groom you acknowledge and accept the risks.

Upon booking you will be sent an arrival window, approximately one hour before to one hour after your chosen time. If we arrive during the arrival window and are unable to contact you within 15 minutes of arriving to continue the appointment it will be considered a no show. The first no show will be waived, habitual offenders will have to pay the entire appointment price upon booking.

Please be aware of your arrival window as we cannot wait more than 15 minutes due to it negatively impacting the rest of the scheduled day.

If you need to cancel your appointment please let us know 24 hours prior to your appointment. Otherwise you will be subjected to a cancellation fee of half of your appointment price. This is due to loss of income for the groomer and company as it will be difficult or impossible to fill spots last minute.
